Harvest
I missed September post, so when I look back one day at this photo, it will remind me what I did. I been very lucky this year to get lots of tomatoes, zucchinis, cucumbers, squashes, apples, berries and more. My parents and my mother-in-law had a very fruitful year. So instead of blogging I been jarring everything and anything that got close to me, meaning given to me. Since I switched to glass, and I like freezing, my fridge weighs a ton.
About year ago I was into baking, I think I master basics. This year I switched into more healthier alternative, since everything grown home is basically organic. When you see an apple worm crawling on your counter top, you definitely know that your apple is organic. My garden was only okay, since I did in the small pots things didn't grow very big, but, but, I been lucky with having lots of nice basil. Even Matthew would pick on the leafs put in his mouth, and say: good basil. Not to mention, my regular Zoom-zoom visitor, the chipmunk, been a happy camper eating my small tomatoes and egg plant fruit.

Good to see you back on board. By the sounds of things you have been busy, busy as a chipmunk storing up on goodies for the tree pantry.
ReplyDeleteMay your worms be small and your fruit & veg as big as houses.
Take Care,
Peter
Welcome back, Anna! This is a beautiful warm image, I enjoy it!
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend
Now, that is what i call a fruity photo :-)
ReplyDeleteAnd one that you could eat too - delicious.
It's nice to hear that you have a lot of organic fruits and vegetables this year. The picture is just remarkable.
ReplyDeleteGreat harvest. At my place it is the squirrels doing the harvesting--of my sunflowers!
ReplyDeleteLovely photograph. I see lots of pumpkins for sale around here.
ReplyDeleteThat was a typical photo. You can look at the others listed and they are all about the same quality. It was a traveling photographer who came around once each year.
Anna, te deseo una buena cosecha de buenos momentos :)
ReplyDeleteBonitos colores
Hi Anna - Thanks for visiting and all your comments! I am picking some fall pumpkins and squash today and love your photo. I too use glass now to freeze everything. I did notice that with some liquids, I cracked the jars when I froze them. Maybe I filled them too high or maybe I need to leave the lid loose or off until they freeze. But no more freezing in plastic for me either.
ReplyDeleteAnna, I'm glad to see you posting. I've been missing posts too, and comment responses, etc. One day I'll email to tell you some of what's going one, as I don't like to blog too much of personal business.
ReplyDeleteYou're fortunate to have access to fresh organic produce! The earth gives so generously!
Don't worry about how heavy your frig is, unless, of course, it falls through the floorboards! THEN you have a problem, lol....
Happy autumn, my dear!
I'm glad both you and Matthew have enjoyed gardening. Obviously the chipmunk enjoyed your garden as well!
ReplyDeleteVery cool!
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you had a very productive month!
ReplyDeleteSeeing these pumpkins and I realize halloween is soon to come. Must be a lot to prepare. :)
ReplyDeleteHi Anno. Dynie ozdobne, coś co lubię, mają tak wspaniałe kolory i super wyglądają na stole. A niebawem Halloween. Pozdrawiam gorąco z Warmii:)
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice composition. But, I'm a fan of tomatoes and pumpkins any old day :)
ReplyDeleteWow what a great harvest, since my kids were born I've been trying to grow my own veggies with a little success, although with our climate it's not easy.
ReplyDeleteSuch a warm and cozy capture Anna dear ;) And I can imagine you jarring all fruits and veggies for the cold winter to come ;) Stay well dear friend and lots of {{{HUGS}}} to you and Matthew
ReplyDeleteI'm a fan of home-made jams, jellies, cookies, and most everything jarred and frozen. I had been wondering if you would be doing a Sept post, but I can see you were much too busy! Cheers!

Hey Anna :D!
ReplyDeleteMmmm...your new cooking activity sounds delicious to me!
I am into organic food myself: it tastes better and it is much more healthier than food grown with pesticides.
So, are you ready for winter, girl? :D
Cheers
There's nothing better than homegrown veggies. They always taste better. There is also great pride in growing veggies. This post reminds me of my childhood. We had an acre that was just for veggies and my mother would can tons of things for the fall/winter months. It was wonderful to have fresh veggies in the dead of winter.
ReplyDeleteHave a terrific day. :)
des couleurs d'automne splendides
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photo of a very nice harvest :)

Great Fall photo.
ReplyDeletecheers, parsnip
Hi Anna,I love the photo that you posted; with a milky white pumpkin among orange ones the photo looks really beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI would so much like to have a garden enough big to grow my own vegetable. My only garden consists of flower pots. So all the vegetables and fruits except of apples I have to buy at the market.
You can't beat home grown food.
ReplyDeleteA mouthwatering picture too :)
I love home grown tomatoes. Your photo definitely looks like you had a great harvest. Beautiful colors along with such great clarity. Good luck with your canning, my in-laws have always provided us with canned goods and really enjoy them. Take care Anna.
ReplyDeleteHappy new week, Anna :-)
ReplyDeleteWonderful "toptable" shot! Great work!
ReplyDeleteAnna - That image is beautifully taken. The optimal flash level and the selective focus has resulted in a fabulous image...Thomas
