English Garden Confessions

We are very lucky to have many nice attraction in our town, especially Merlin's Hollow, the English garden that is free and open to public four times a year. The English garden has gardens within. Each has its own character or theme. These are some of the photos of the flowers I captured. I probably captured over 80 different species, but believe or not the garden has over 1500. That is a lot, and it is only on 1 acre of land.

What confessions you may say? Well I have not been here for a while. Life is busy and keeping us out of trouble. I am still with Matthew. He is not going to school this year, but next year. I better enjoy this time even more. I know I will miss him.

Oh, I forgot about the confessions. The confession I have is that I started a local blog in our town Living In Aurora. I noticed that over the 13 years lot changed in our town. So for the record, I started to post pictures locally from our town and write. I write my opinions. I try to stay away from politics, as it is very confusing topic to be involve in, but I vote.

I felt like I was walking the streets and trails and saw so much. I started to share. I started to see the growth, so I started to take more pictures. I started to see flaws in our town, so I started to get involved. I think it was time for me to raise my opinions publicly.

I guess you know why I have been absent here. Yes I been spending more time there. But no worries, this blog My Only Photo and Story Blog was born with Matthew and I am not leaving the premises. I may post less, and visit less, but I will be here.

I hope you enjoyed my English garden flower showcase for today.

Your expertise with macros and depth of fields is spectacular! I'm an eternal fan of your pictures, all of them.

Its great that you are writing about current issues in Aurora. Blogs are simple yet effective tools to communicate the views of a common citizen. All the best for that project!

  14. What beautiful photos of the flowers. Yes, enjoy little Matthew now, once they start to school, they think they are grown up and seem to grow a little further away from Mommy. Thanks for your visits. I to have been busy, I have to do most of the running and fetching, so that keeps me out of trouble, along with the other things, like grocery shopping, putting away the items, preparing meals, doing the laundry and etc. As I've always said, a man can retire from his job and do more or less what he wants, a woman retires from an outside the home job and still has all the things to do in the home like before and find it takes as long as it did when working a full time job. I say it doesn't really take as long, but it's just by the time we retire we've also slowed down some. LOL

  20. The last time I went to confession I was living with my parents, and that was a very long time ago - pre kids and grandchildren days.

Now that you've reminded me of that fact, I better do something about it before I kick the bucket. And yes, Glorious images once again.

    Take Care,
    Peter

  28. Anna:

You re the best photographer of wild flowers I ever saw. Just wonderful.

The queen and I just returned from Vancouver. It was a fabulous city. It reminds me of a college town. Young people were everywhere, even late into the evenings.

Our youngest daughter just got married and the ceremony was great. I had tears in my eyes throughout the entire ceremony. We just hope that she still comes to visit us in a regular basis. Every week would be nice. We'll see how it goes.

    I always love your posts.

    Happy trails

  39. Hi Anna. I've been posting much less too, although for different reasons. I agree that you should enjoy Matthew as much as possible before he goes to school, because then, the years will fly even faster.

You will be involved in your blogs then, so that will help with the transition. The community blog sounds like an all-around good thing to do.

I'm glad you have access to these gardens and yes, your photos are very beautiful!
